PCT Day 100

Day 100: Wow 100 days already…over halfway…almost to Oregon….almost done 😢. I did a short 26 mile day today because I wanted Tim and Freckles to catch up to me. The day started with a bit of a steady downhill. I’m mainly hiking through the forest this morning. Crossing a lot of creeks. About 9 miles in I crossed McCloud River on a nice large bridge before beginning a small uphill, I was feeling tired. Usually I just keep going, but today at the top of the hill I just sat and rested. And amazingly it gave me more energy and I enjoyed the hiking even more rather than just suffering through it. Who would have thought? Stopped at Squaw Valley creek for lunch. There were a couple other hikers on the other side of the bridge laying around but I didn’t feel like talking. I went directly to the water and started icing my leg while I ate. It was nice to sit in the sun. I had heard of a good swimming spot, I didn’t go down to it but went to another nearby area where for 3 hours I laid around. Iced my leg off and on in the water and read my book. I never willingly take 3 hour siestas so today is totally abnormal for me. But I have a big uphill coming and I’m in no rush to get anywhere. The way up felt smooth. And it went by really quickly. Some switch backs alternating between ridge areas before taking you back into the trees. I carried quite a bit of water from the last spot as there is no water where I plan to camp tonight. But apparently there is a bear who has been liking to hang around there. I’m not a fan of this forest camping. I like to be on open ridges with endless views of mountains, land, and Stars. In the forest you don’t see anything. I got to camp around 5:30 and hung around and finished reading my book. There’s a lot of mosquitoes so I’m just laying in my tent to cook and eat dinner. At around 7ish another hiker approaches named Taz. He has apparently heard of me because people say we hike the same style. He was cool, we smoked a J together then just kicked it talking through our tents to avoid the mosquitoes. Around 9-9:30 Freckles and Tim made it! YAY! They set up camp near me and we chatted while they ate and talked about their day. They had a good swim and hang out at the swimming hole earlier. They’re so much better than me at just enjoying things as they come across it. Today I did good. But overall I set my mile goal for the day, then I just want to get it done. Tomorrow we reach town! I am anxiously awaiting for gift box from Toni, Lisa, and Yago. It has some fresh @johnnysdoughnuts for me!!

PCT Day 99

Day 99: my journal is brief this day and my memory isn’t bringing anything up. So today’s entry is nothing special. I ended with 29 miles and my shin is totally starting to really irritate me. I planned to take my time today, to hike with Freckles and Tim, resting often to give my shin a break. But I can’t do it. I need to have over half my miles down by lunch otherwise mentally I really struggle. All my energy comes in the morning and after lunch I’m usually just hanging on until camp. The weather today was hotter than usual, and drinking enough water was tough. Sitting at camp I just kept trying to chug as much water as possible. Camping in more of a forest tonight which always makes me a bit nervous for bears so i was really hoping Tim and Freckles got here soon. I don’t remember when I lost them, but I started camping alone again. This is when their habit of hiking until very late started to happen! I go back and forth, I want to hike and get my miles in and done, but at the same time I want to be with my friends. It’s a never ending battle in my mind on what I should do.

PCT Day 98

Day 98: Fun Times at the ranch but time to go. Me, Freckles, and Tim didn’t do the waffle breakfast we just ate from the hiker box and got going. I got ahead quickly, but then was stopped by an older couple who chatted with me for about 15-20 minutes in which Freckles and Tim found and saved me. The man just wouldn’t quit talking. But they were adorable. Long skirt and Noodles were their names. There was some really fun trail magic at a picnic table. Lemonade, unfortunately heavily watered down by this point. And instead of just a normal registry where we write our names it asked for jokes. It was great reading through it, and I don’t really have jokes but I wrote “what do you call it when Batman skips church?” CHRISTIAN BALE! Ha. Anyways kept hiking on from there. Very foresty this section. Just surrounded by trees. The next site is Burney Falls and I am so stoked to see it. It’s just a short distance off of the trail. Again, I got ahead of Freckles and Tim, and hope to see them there. I crossed Burney Creek on a bridge then took the .8 mile side trail to the 129 ft falls. And they most certainly didn’t disappoint. I hung at the top for a bit and then headed to the store and bathroom. After waiting for a bit, and petting a lot of dogs, I headdd to the lower access for the falls. Where people were hanging and swimming. I just walked through, too many people for me. And they walked so freaking slow! I walked around the entirety of the loop trail then headed back to my trail. Walked across a dam, then kept crossing dirt roads which seems to be the biggest summary of the day. I stopped for lunch at a nice water hike with a small waterfall. Went for a swim and cleaned off. Then sat and iced my ankle/shin while eating lunch. The shin splints are coming back. This time I plan to stick it into cold water whenever possible. It blows, but what can ya do. I left a note for Freckles and Tim about where I’m camping. Then I had a small 2,400ft climb to where I planned to camp at mile 1343. Apparently a great look out spot. And then I made it, and it didn’t disappoint. A point blank shot of Mt. Shasta with the sun coming down behind it. It doesn’t get any better. It was kind windy up here so I snuggled my tent behind a thick tree, but sun bathed and ate up at the top to look at the views. I stretched and read while the sun turned the sky a nice pink and orange color. I still haven’t seen Freckles and Tim and it’s getting dark. I hope they make it. literally as I wrote this they walked up! So happy to be back with my fam. We visited while they ate dinner and kept our eyes on Mt. Shasta.

PCT Day 97

Day 97: got up and was hiking by 4:45am. Just about a mile in I saw the French couple in their tents, then heard someone say hi but I couldn’t see anything so I just said hi and kept walking. I later learned it was Scotty. I also slept so good last night which was special since I was camping alone. But the stars have really started to help me sleep. I just stare up at them and doze right off. Hat Creek Rim, you may know it from the movie Wild when she has to lick moisture off of her tent because she had no water. Dry, and flat. Which usually equals super boring. But mornings are my favorite. It’s never boring then. Seeing the sun come up and listening to all the birds and wildlife awaken. It’s so meditative and my favorite part of every day. Passed a communication tower then more power lines, but mainly just walking along a bunch of low dry bush. About 11 miles in I went through a gate and found myself staring at cows. In the first pond I knew I wouldn’t retrieve water. A cow stared at me and legit just stared while pooping right into the water. So freakin gross. I kept walking a went to one a little off trail that I had read was cleaner. I dropped my pack and got out my Sawyer, time for it to work. The water was warm and had weird gooey stuff floating on top. I filled up a bottle, still having a liter and headed on. Luckily, I ended up not having to drink any of this water anyways! The rest of the day seemed to be the same. Pass by power lines and go through wire fences. Finally the actually HCR was over and I was back under the shade of trees. I stopped for a very brief moment to eat a hummus wrap for lunch with some chips, my staple. And made my way through the Powerhouse, such a weird part of trail and I actually got semi-confused with where to go. Then found a brief period of walking along with a small lake where people were out on canoes and just floating around on the water. The shade felt amazing. There were flowers and butterflies ❤️❤️❤️. I’m almost to Burney Guest Ranch! I’m pushing hard to get there and see Freckles and Tim! Finally I hit the power lines where I turned off trail to head to the ranch. 25 miles done by 1pm! And right when I walked up I saw Tim and then Freckles came running out to give me a hug! Yay!!!!!! REUNITED! I was immediately greeted by Linda, the sweet sweet owner, with some homemade ice cream. I was able to shower and do laundry and even go for a swim. It is heaven here. Scotty got there shortly after me looking exhausted and commenting on how fast I was. Since I didn’t realize it was him this morning I just thought he was ahead of my still so I had no idea I’d see him! And we got to end with all you can eat spaghetti. So good! This was one of my favorite stops on trail. No expectations and it ended up being spectacular. We hung out then camped on their lawn for the evening. Ready to go for more miles tomorrow.

PCT Day 96

Day 96: I woke up before the rest of the hikers and headed out to start the decent uphill I had in front of me. Not 60 seconds after I started walking I heard some cracking and let tearing noises. I looked to my right and there was a bear! A black bear, but mainly brown in color. It looked like it was just a teenager. Not too big. He was just going about his way tearing bark off of the downed trees enjoying his breakfast. But, being the first bear I’ve seen, it made my adrenaline shoot up. I got up that hill so damn fast because of it. There was plenty of water today. Almost immediately I crossed and walked near multiple creeks. I soon found myself kind of lost. I passed 2 women camping and soon after I saw no trail. It just ended. So I walked back and forth for a bit trying to use my gps but it wouldn’t coordinate. Finally I realized I needed to cross the raging creek next to me. So I scoped it out. I found a log upstream and told the ladies I’d yell back at them if it was safe to cross. And it was. Just a bit awkward. It was a thick log but high up and kept getting higher as you walked on it. I soon found myself back on the trail. Under all the trees. Definitely in a forest! At 8am I took a break at Lower Twin Lakes. I was tired and have heard it’s a killer swim spot so I had to stop. Stripped off my clothes and jumped into the warm water. I swam around about 10 min. Floating in the bath warm water and looking at all the beautiful pines and trees that surrounded the lake. It was so peaceful and totally rejuvenated me. Most of the terrain today was pretty flat so I made killer timing. And good news! I got a couple moments of service and Freckles texted me. They’re one day ahead and going to take a 0 day at Burney Guest Ranch. Which means I’ll be with them tomorrow!!!! I did 27 miles today by 2:30. I took a legit 6 minute lunch break and other than that and the swim I didn’t stop. When I got near Old Station I saw the cutest baby coyote ever. I immediately fell in love. But it wouldn’t come to me and let me pet it 😢. I walked into Old Station and right to the shop to get myself a milkshake. They had so many flavors! I got a mint chocolate one…for now. And a gatorade. And some snacks. After eating it I headed to the local cafe where I intended on ordering some food but then was too full. So I just sat, charged my phone, and read for a couple of hours. Perk of doing so many miles and ending so early, I really don’t have to do much more. I’ve already done a solid day. So I’m going to chill until it cools down then head back out. The rest of today will be very exposed. And tomorrow is Hat Creek Rim, typically about a 30 mile very exposed waterless section. Except for a cow pond, and they put in a new water tank but I’ve heard it’s empty so I’m not relying on that. So the plan is to get up crazy early and hike as much as possible before the heat sets in. I left around 5:30 because I was bored. So I left and soon stopped at the Subway Caves. At first I missed the side trail, then decided to just dump my pack and run to them. They were so dope. According to Guthooks it’s a 1000ft long lava tube formed less than 20,000 years ago. It stays 46 degrees F year round and is pitch black. It was so dope! I continued on super pleased with my day so far. There were a couple of trailheads along the way where I saw the French couple who I’d passed and been passed by a couple of times. They’re super nice. I camped at mile 1382, a total of 35 miles. The site was A beautiful spot, all by myself nuzzled into the trees yet just a few steps away from an opening that allowed me to see the sunset and multiple mountain peaks. Lassen and Shasta I believe. I am totally happy and content tonight. I am in the groove with this stuff now. Everything is just muscle memory. Setting up my tent and sleeping bag. Cooking dinner and keeping all my stuff organized and easy to pack up in the morning. I enjoyed my dinner noticing how filthy I was. It seems that the trail is mainly dirt these days. And it’s showing with my black feet and a couple tints darker of legs than the rest of my body. I love this home of mine ❤️❤️

PCT Day 95

Day 95: Due to celebrating the midway point yesterday I planned to sleep in today and head into Chester for my milkshake and that is just what I did. I didn’t leave until after 8 which is late for me! Scotty doesn’t plan to stop so I may have to catch up with him later. A couple times on the trail we, as hikers, are forced to make awkward mileage decisions due to camping closures. There’s a few sections on the PCT where you’re not allowed to camp and one was coming up, well kind of. This one requires a bear canister to stay the night which I gladly no longer carried. So it either puts you at a short day of 19 miles or a long ass day of like 38 miles. I think Scotty is planning to do the 38! I’ll do the 18. Hike to Chester then to Drake’s Bad Resort and camp there. The hike into Chester was nice. The weather was great and I walked under trees in a beautiful forest until the road. The few miles flew by. But standing waiting for a hitch didn’t. Everyone says as a girl hitching will be easy…..not always. Many cars passed and kept passing. I started debating whether or not I should just skip it when 2 awesome guys heading to work let me hop into their truck. What’s fascinating to me is that I’m a total stranger yet, multiple times on this trip people open up to you right away. This guy was telling me all about his life and family. And it’s pretty damn beautiful to have to interaction with someone you don’t even know. They dropped me in the middle of town and I planned to just get some breakfast and hang until the popular milkshake spot opened up. As I was passing the laundromat I met another hiker, a man named Cheerleader. He chatted with me for awhile while I washed my clothes in the sink, and then offered to let me go to his hotel room to shower. I know it sounds sketch….but it’s another hiker it’s normal in this life to shower in random places. After I showered which felt amazing, we headed to breakfast at Cravings. It was so good, the food (breakfast burrito) and the conversation. He is actually trying to find a property along the PCT to host hikers and tried to buy Kennedy Meadows and told me all about why that fell through.
But his true hope is to able to make it a place hikers feel totally welcome and able to prepare themselves for the Sierras. I had a fine experience at KM, but some hikers claim they’re not hiker friendly. More like hiker tolerable. And they just use hikers to make money, but give us not so great camping and bathroom areas. Again, I had no issues but who knows. His goal was to get it, create a good relationship with Grumpys, the only other restaurant there, and make it a fun convenient place for hikers to spend time before the brutal Sierras. But when they were a good chunk through the process he learned that had multiple health code violations, and instead of fixing them, they just decided to no longer sell it. But after that we went and got our milkshakes. I got a chocolate with fresh strawberries, and Cheerleader got a huckleberry. Good choice! This place is dope you can get a massive like 40oz milkshake for $7! Winning! I then went across the street to get a hitch. A nice guy named Cameron offered me a ride while his clothes finished washing. He had a few month old puppy I instantly fell in love with named Killer. It was a mix of a lab, pit, German Shepard, and border collie. On the way he asked if I had ever had a creepy or weird experience, hitching alone as a female. And I replied, “not until just now” haha. But all was good. When he dropped me off at the trail I immediately got some of the BEST trail magic! Jake and Bev a local couple had made lots of bags filled with fresh fruit. So after chatting for a bit I walked away. Holding a big bag of strawberries, blueberries, and watermelon. I had 16 miles to make by 7pm when dinner is served at the Resort. I needed to book it. So I pushed hard. Just about 6 miles in I ran into more trail magic. Cookie, Bobcat, and their Grandson Lang were out dropping off more candy and caprisuns for the trail magic near the road. They were so cute and kind. And I hope to see that Lang someday hikes the trail.
I continued on non-stop until I hit the Resort and even went off trail a couple of times to see cool shit. One was a terminal geyser, a geothermal steam vent in Lassen. It seems horrible but is basically just a bunch of steam coming out of rocks. Then there was the Boiling Springs which I thought was super cool. It was a weird blue color and so intriguing. I finally made it to the ranch at 6pm. I was wiped though. On the way in I met 2 cute ladies staying at the Resort. One used to be a park ranger and was telling me lots of stories. And how it’s been her dream forever to come stay here, it’s just crazy expensive, but she’s thrilled to finally be here. I got to the main lot and ran into a large table of other hikers. I went into the restaurant to get a drink and Captain Ramen came in. As we were chatting I got super light headed all the sudden and legit had to try so hard to keep standing. But I ordered a root beer and it was all good. Obviously I’m just crashing on all this damn sugar. The deal with Drakes Resort is that it’s a fancy ass place that allows hikers to come in, but they try to keep us as far from their guests as possible. And for dinners, we get the leftovers. But it’s $20. I was good to just grab some stuff out of the hiker box and go to camp, but Capt Ramen talked me into treating myself. It was fun to meet a large group of other hikers, although at the table Capt Ramen and I were the only ones who went through the Sierras. His girlfriend was here now hiking with him for a bit. Some of the others had left and went to Hawaii until the snow melted then came back to continue hiking. And then dinner……left disappointed. We were all still starving. We got a small salad, then I got some super delicious mushroom ravioli, and then creme brûlée. It was just not a lot for us hikers, luckily they had a ton of left over bread and we just started snagging that. I camped with all of them in the campground. We were surrounded by big trucks and tents. And families, who loudly spent the night camping there.

PCT Day 94

Day 94- Hit a huge milestone today within Lassen National Park……HALFWAY BABY! I got a little emotional but overall just excited. The day went by pretty slowly. I left a couple minutes before Scotty in the morning but as usual he catches up fast. I stopped at Little Cub Spring to take a quick bathroom break and get water. It was the last water source on the trail for about 10 miles so I wanted to make sure I was good. It was a good descent, off the ridge which the trail was on, to the creek that was flowing very nice cold refreshing water for me. Made my way back up the climb, and back to my pack before I headed on. Scotty and I ended up getting to the halfway point with each other. He celebrated with a shot. I just wanted a milkshake. It’s legit all I ever crave. And I know there’s one near by in the town of Chester which I can reach today if I go 30 miles. After the halfway point was a bit of a descent. I like to run on downhills mainly because it takes less time and saves my knees from impact. Scotty also apparently likes to take off running. At one point I hear stomping behind me and move to the side of the trail and he blows past me with his headphones in. Just moving! Later I met a man who asks “are you with that guy who was running”. Sure I mean we’re friends and hike together sometimes, but we’re not hiking the trail together. He seems mad and goes on to ask if we’re in some kind of running group or something. I just explain why I personally run on downhills. He had apparently been frightened by Scotty. He said he heard the stomping and thought it was a bear charging so he jumped off of the trail, and Scotty passed, and he was mad as he said Scotty didn’t say anything to him once he moved. Which he may have but the guy didn’t hear him. Anyways he was mad, basically just out of fear. But he kept trying to talk to me about it and I felt bad, but I didn’t do it so quit complaining to me about it. Decided to stop and camp 3 miles before Chester. I’ll get a milkshake tomorrow. We walk into a camp filled with lots of other hikers. A campsite right next to a flowing stream. I met a Dad and his Daughter who were out hiking a section together. They were so cute, I loved it. What a cool experience they were having. I went to bed after eating while everyone else made a fire and hung out. At this point, I enjoy my reading and getting to sleep. So that’s just what I’m going to do…sleep and dream….about milkshakes.

9494.194.294.3

PCT Day 93

Day 93: we only had 10 miles into Belden. I can’t really call it a town. It’s a random place people go stay and they have raves and shit. Although it was only 10 miles it felt crazy long. I didn’t eat breakfast because I just wanted to go and thought I could wait until Belden, but at one point I had to stop and get a bar. I was starving. Scotty and I walked there together, we had a little uphill then found ourselves looking at beautiful massive rocks and tons of greenery. There was lightly flowing water coming down from the hillsides next to us. It was beautiful. Down into Belden was a looooong descent dropping over 4,000ft. We could walk fast but the time felt slow. I had to turn on some Nahko to get through it. Singing my way down the mountain. Then we hit the railroad tracks where we took the road right to Belden. I liked this place. Took a “bath” in the river and did some laundry then went to the restaurant to eat. The food was crazy portions and so crazy, we ate with Javalou. A really kind woman also asked to cover our bill for us, but we said no as we felt too bad since there were 3 of us. Before we left Sante came, and we left for the big long uphill after lunch. We crossed the bridge that went over the river , caught the trail. Passed some fresh berries and started going up. I just wanted to cruise. And I did, but then my cruise slowed down a bit. The climb was over 5,000 feet over about 13.5 miles. I had a good pace and then had to stop and get some water and just chilled for a couple of minutes before continuing on. It was kind of annoying. The trail would go up, then quickly down just to shoot right back up. Scotty passed me at the water and stayed ahead of me after that. Finally we reached the top, and Scotty was hiding shooting pics of me as I dragged myself up the hill. I dislike all of those pictures of myself….I didn’t look good at all. We trekked about another mile to a campsite that sat out on the ridge overlooking the nature around us. And it had a nice creek nearby. ❤️ today also started a weird trend of body pain. My lower back is giving me some tightness issues,my left foot hurts, and I keep getting sharp pains in my hips. Time to stretch

9393.193.2

PCT Day 92

Day 92: I woke up and immediately headed out today to just try and get to the next water source. About a half mile in I met this adorable and beautiful man. His light was shining and spreading so bright. I enjoyed walking with him, he had camped at the lake a bit off trail last night. After awhile I couldn’t take it any longer and asked him for some water which is kindly gave me. It wasn’t much but omg felt so good to get something to drink. He has met Stats, Tim, and Freckles! So talking to him made me feel closer to my family. And I know they’re not too far ahead of me. Just about a day, well not Stats he’s a few days ahead. Finally I got to some water. Pure bliss. Overall, today my water rationing was over. I was able to get water whenever as all the sources were good, but I never re-hydrated. I only peed twice all day. Late morning, I ran into Sante! Yay!!! But we had a big long climb ahead. Damn it was pretty hard. It was just never ending. Over 3000 feet in 8 miles. So not the steepest but just so consistent and so many dang switchbacks. Dripping sweat I finally hit the top of the hill where there is a killer pipe spring. Love these. They’re always so cold and fresh, no need to filter it! When Sante got there he filled up his water and we headed to Look Out Rock for lunch. 2 German brothers came along, Fred and Manboots. It was so gorgeous. Quite the lunch view. But I probably shouldn’t have just been sitting in the sun so long. We left and there was another trail library, after browsing the books, I headed on and walked towards another road. And right before I got there someone heading SOBO said to look for trail magic there. Sure enough there were some beers floating in the creek. So me and the Germans sat and drank our beer. One beer actually usually helps with hiking. It relaxes you a bit and makes it easier. The guys are fast so they go ahead, Sante had to go back because he forgot his glasses somewhere so again I’m alone just chugging along. I pass the road later that leads into Quincy. A sweet woman my age ran up to me when I got there and asked if I wanted a ride, but I wasn’t going into town. There was a trail register there. I love being able to see where everyone is ahead of me. Stats, Hefty, Freckles, Tim, Javalou and Scotty….double checking….yep it says Javalou and Scotty just walked by not too long ago. As I’m approaching the top of the next hill I see Scotty and Javalou. I’m so excited. I’m still going 1.5 miles to a camp because there’s water there, Scotty decides to come along. And Javalou stays. He likes to camp somewhere with a view. And I do too, but tonight water is my priority. That last mile in a half way absolutely brutal. 35 miles today….my biggest yet. And my fatigue is setting in from the last 2 days. We get water and get to camp. A SOBO is there and we chat for a bit while eating dinner then doing what we do best. Heading to bed. So I’m back in a semi bubble with some of my trail family!!!! What a great day!
*pic is Freckles @ look put rocks*

9292.192.392.492.5

PCT Day 91

Day 91: I woke up with the rest of the group. The Canadians and group of ladies head south, towards Sierra City. And I go North. The hiking through the Sierra Buttes was nice, but you pass by tons of lakes from way up, so you have no access to the water. (They have actually just changed the trail starting in 2018 where it will now go lower along the water.) But overall, I will come hike around here again! I hiked Solo all day, I didn’t really see any other people. I ended doing 34 miles, but the last 5 were grueling. So in the Sierras I was spoiled with water. I never really had to try and find water it was just everywhere. But today, I learned the hard way that I am no longer in the Sierras. And NorCal, specifically this section is a different story. I’m lazy in the sense I usually refuse to go off trail for water. Even if it’s just half a mile. I’ll carry more liters Han go off trail. But today basically all of the water is literally off trail. So I kept postponing. Saying I’d go to the next one, the next one would come and I’d skip it. Finally I actually needed water, but I chose one that was hard to find. On Guthooks, the hiker app used to location and key points, the comments for this water source showed a lot of people couldn’t find it and those that did had a really hard time. After walking for a bit and seeing nothing I had a choice. 1) Keep walking around trying to find the water here, which may not happen, then I waste a bunch of time going nowhere. Or 2) leave this option and just walk towards the next source. So I chose #2. If I’m going to be walking it’ll be towards for sure water. So I had about 6 miles to go to get to it, and I had no water. A little before this spot I came across some people doing trail maintenance and thought about asking them for water but didn’t want to be “that hiker” that doesn’t know how to plan water. Should have dropped my damn ego and just done it. Now hot and thirsty I have 2 hours with no water. Luckily, today was mostly tree covered which helped me stay cooler. Finally I got to the road. At this road I just have to walk a ways down to where there is a bridge and under the bridge is Fresh water! I was so happy when I got there. I chugged so much water right away straight out of my filter. Until I was cooled down I drank water, then filled one bottle for my last 5 miles. Because where I plan to camp, there is a side trail leading a half mile to a creek. So I hang out a bit then head on. It was such a slow 5 miles. I really fatigued myself today. It was a lot of up and down too, but the dehydration hit me hard. So I kept chugging along, slowly but surely. Until I hit the next paved road, that was for the Fowler Creek trailhead. I saw a car there and was excited to maybe get some water or something from someone. But they must have been out camping I never saw them. I camped at the spots right near the road and headed to find the trail to water…..and never found it. I only had 1/3 of a liter of water. And I was too tired to go on. But I knew I couldn’t drink it. So I didn’t eat dinner, because I didn’t have water to cook with. So tired, hungry, thirsty, and frustrated I laid in my tent. I slept on this night although being alone again. But I could have drank 3 liters of water right then. Hopefully tomorrow I will be better prepared.
